In Chinese
cosmology, all nature follows certain rules so that everything
is under the influence of the five elements and the Yin-Yang
principle.
These
five elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal) interact
with another in predetermined ways following either the cycle
of production (one element giving rise to the other) or the
cycle of destruction (one element destroying the other).
By using
the “10000 year calendar”, a specialized calendar
containing the elements, any given time can be converted to
the elements that are predominant at a particular moment.
Human
beings, like all aspects of nature in the universe, are also
influenced by the five elements and by their interactions.
When a
person’s birthday (year, month, day and hour) is converted
into these elements, the Four Pillars of Information is then
obtained. This is why method is called The Four Pillars of
Destiny.
This method
of destiny analysis called “The Four Pillars of Destiny”
examines the elements of which a person is composed and how
they are related to one other.
The
basic idea is that everyone possesses some elements in excess
with others less predominant. As harmony in life is achieved
when all elements are in balance, a person can achieve things
more smoothly when he or she is under influence of their positive
elements. In contrast, when the elements that are already
in excess in certain years or periods of his or her life,
then the person will have difficulties in certain areas. These
depend on what aspect of life is represented by this particular
element (these areas include money, career, partner, education,
resources and friends).
This method
is very accurate because it follows logical rules. By knowing
the date and the exact hour of birth, a great deal of information
can be derived about this person.
All these aspects affect the character, potentials, opportunities,
positive and negative phases in life (the ups and downs),
his or her relationships with the others and even any health
problems they are likely to encounter.
A Four
pillars consultation can thus provide valuable information
to help the individual understand his life and to take appropriate
decisions.
